{"id":424,"date":"2010-03-11T00:25:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-11T07:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rocknponderosa.com\/hultquist\/?p=424"},"modified":"2010-03-11T00:25:00","modified_gmt":"2010-03-11T07:25:00","slug":"wednesday-back-to-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/rocknponderosa.com\/?p=424","title":{"rendered":"WEDNESDAY   &#8212;   back to school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[<em>written Wed. evening<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>I made scant progress getting approval for physical therapy.\u00a0 Maybe tomorrow.\u00a0 Maybe never.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the rest of the day was uneventful and I didn\u2019t do all the exercises I should have, but at 4:45 we drove to the University so that I could participate in the final presentations of Intermediate GIS. \u00a0\u00a0I was scheduled to teach this class and had signed in many of the students from previous classes \u2013 before I went missing.\u00a0 My replacement kindly invited me to return.\u00a0 It was nice to be there and see a few familiar faces and to view their projects.<\/p>\n<p>Although I can walk I didn\u2019t want to sit in the classroom chairs as they would be hard for me to get up from, so, I followed my walker into the building and up the elevator.\u00a0 I discovered two problems. \u00a0The seat of the walker is a fine idea poorly executed.\u00a0 Comfortable it isn\u2019t \u2013 even with a cushion.\u00a0 And the second problem is that I no longer have the built-in padding I\u2019d learned to live with. But this is a condition I do want to learn to live with so I\u2019m not complaining \u2013 just stating a fact.
