The distance traveled today was 0.48 mile, one way.\u00a0 Double that and we still didn\u2019t make a full mile in the car.\u00a0 I should have zagged or zigged on the way to or from.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t sure whether to zig or zag so I didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
Nancy got in and out of the car just fine.\u00a0 The 4-wheeled walker \u2018just\u2019 fit in the back.\u00a0 These things do fold but are still large and odd shaped.\u00a0 The place we visited is a series of apartments with mostly senior folk and from the gender of those that showed up, about 94% female.\u00a0\u00a0 A few came with walkers much like the one Nancy is using.\u00a0 There were a couple of wheel chairs and maybe a cane or two.\u00a0 There were snacks afterward but of the dry cookie type or small sandwich variety.\u00a0 I could have made a meal of the stuff but Nancy is into moist and softer things and we didn\u2019t stay.<\/p>\n
Also, we needed to return to her room for a potty stop and then she needed a nap. She very much wants to participate but from getting going to getting back was about 2 hours and that, currently, is a lot for her.<\/p>\n
Changing direction a little, we\u2019ve noticed that on her lower legs her skin is peeling much as it would if sunburned and there is some general redness there also.\u00a0 This is the location of the worst of the edema and visible swelling during her ICU stay.\u00a0 I suspect a connection and have briefly searched on the \u2018web\u2019 with little success.\u00a0 The search results I\u2019m getting are all over the spectrum and not what I want.\u00a0 I guess my search terms need improvement.\u00a0 If you have any ideas on this issue you can let me \u2013 John \u2013\u00a0 know here:\u00a0\u00a0 nancyh@ellensburg.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
