This is post-op day 8.\u00a0 A regular (if there is such a thing) open heart surgery patient would likely be out of the hospital on day 5 or 6.\u00a0 Nancy\u2019s back road\u2019s way of getting to this stage included heart attack and cardiopulmonary collapse from heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT).<\/p>\n
