The purpose was to visit the Yakama Nation Cultural Center. The tall building is a large reconstruction of a winter lodge. It is used for many functions, but nothing was happening, so we skipped it. The right side image below has Mt. Adams in the background. It is on the western edge of the Nation, 55 miles from the Cultural Center. Mt. Adams has a prominent role in their history and cultural.<br \/>\nAny travelers through Washington State should consider a visit. There is a small fee. <\/p>\n<p>I brought enough firewood into the house to last for two days. There is only one period of single digit temperature.
